Loan-shark victims stage demonstration, demand resignation of Home Minister

The agitating loan-shark victims have hit the streets demanding the resignation of Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha.

The demonstration which started from Shanti Batika in the capital on Saturday reached Bhadrakali and converged into a corner meeting.

The members of the Usury Victims' Struggle Committee, who spoke in the corner meeting, have demanded the resignation of Home Minister Shrestha.

They have demanded the resignation of the Home Minister saying that the peaceful demonstration was suppressed by the state.

On April 17, there was a clash between the police and the victims who were peacefully protesting at Shanti Batika in Ratnapark. Thirty people were injured in the clash.
