Voting is underway on Sunday for the filling of three vacant seats in the House of Representatives.

By-elections are going to be held in Chitwan-2, Tanahun-1 and Bara-2.

Polling in Chitwan-2, which has been watched with interest, has been going on peacefully so far. Jit Narayan Shrestha, the candidate of the Nepali Congress on behalf of the ruling coalition, has already voted in the morning.

He voted from Chaturmukhi Higher Secondary School Shaktikhor in Kalika Municipality.

However, Rastriya Swatantra Party RSP candidate Rabi Lamichhane and CPN-UML candidate Ram Prasad Neupane, who are competing with Shrestha, will not be allowed to vote.

The electoral roll of Lamichhane is in Kathmandu.

He also voted in the election held on November 20 from Kathmandu.

Likewise, UML Candidate Neupane's name is in Chitwan-3 in the voter list.

He will also not be able to vote in today's by-election.
