Chitwan-2: RSP Chair Lamichhane takes lead; UML's Neupane follows

Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Rabi Lamichhane has maintained his lead in the counting of votes in Chitwan-2 under the House of Representatives by-election.

While 3,543 votes have been counted so far, Lamichhane has taken the lead with 1, 492 votes.

He is followed by CPN (UML) candidate Ram Prasad Neupane with 1,133 votes.

Jit Narayan Shrestha, the candidate of Nepali Congress, who is in third place, has got 795 votes.

A total of 78,277 votes have been cast in the by-elections held on Sunday in Chitwan-2.
