NC leader Pandey stakes claim to Chief Ministership of Gandaki Province

Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party leader Surendra Raj Pandey, has submitted a claim for the Chief Ministership of Gandaki Province.

Pandey submitted his claim to Province Chief Prithvi Man Gurung, demanding that he be appointed as the Chief Minister.

Provincial Chief Gurung on April 25, had given three days’ time calling for the formation of a new government in line with Article 168 of the Constitution.

In response to the same call, Pandey submitted his claim for Chief Ministership with the signatures of province assembly members from NC, CPN (Maoist Center) and CPN (United Socialist) on Thursday.

The provincial chief Gurung had set the 4 pm deadline (Thursday) to submit the claim for the government formation.
