Golyan Group signs contract with Tractebel Engineering GmbH to build hydro project

Elevate Energy Pvt Ltd and Apollo Energy Pvt Ltd, the companies under the Energy business of the Golyan Group, have signed a contract with Tractebel Engineering GmbH, Germany for the completion of detailed engineering and environmental-social impact study for hydropower projects within 20 months.

The agreement is signed by Mr. Carsten Guntermann, Nepal Branch Manager of Tractebel, and Mr. Akshay Golyan, Managing Director of Golyan Group along with Mr. Prawin Aryal, CEO of the company’s energy business. 

These companies are developing 306 MW (Upper Mugu Karnali) and 135 MW (Namlan Khola) peaking run of river hydroelectric projects in Mugum Karmarong Rural Municipality and Chhayanath Rara Municipality of Mugu District in Karnali Province. 

Golyan Group has received technical assistance grant from the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) for studying two peaking hydroelectric projects.

Tractebel is one of the globally renowned engineering consulting companies for the study of hydropower projects that also has a long history of successfully executing projects in Nepal.
