Hosts Nepal are playing Kuwait in the second semi-final of the ACC Premier Cup today (Saturday).
Invited to bat first after losing the toss, Nepali are batting against Kuwait. The match started at TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur at 9 am.
Nepal defeated Qatar by 68 runs in the final group stage becoming the winner of Group A.
Similarly, Kuwait entered the semi-final as the runner-up of Group B by defeating Hong Kong. Both the teams are aiming to reach the final by winning today's match.
In the other semi-final match to be held today, Group B winner UAE and runner-up of Group A Oman are locking horns at Mulpani Cricket Ground.
After the match between UAE and Oman, the Mulpani Ground will receive One Day International (ODI) recognition.
The tournament winners will get to play India and Pakistan in the Asia Cup. The top three teams will qualify for the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup.
The final is scheduled for Monday. If the game cannot be played on Monday, it will be played on Tuesday.
