The final match between Nepal and UAE in the ACC Premier Cup, which was disrupted due to rain, has been postponed for tomorrow.
After the home team Nepal won the toss and elected to field at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, the match was stopped due to rain when UAE scored 106 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 27.2 overs.
The rest of the match will resume from the existing score at this cricket ground tomorrow, the organizer said.
If the game cannot be played even tomorrow due to rain, the game will be canceled and Nepal will directly reach the Asia Cup.
Prior to that, after losing five wickets in 16 overs and scoring 60 runs, the match had been stopped due to rain.
Lalit Rajbanshi alone took three wickets for Nepal. Karan KC and Sandeep Lamichhane took two wickets apiece while Sompal Kami and Gulsan Jha took one wicket each.
Lalit came close to a hat-trick by dismissing Asif Khan in 27.2 overs and Zahoor Khan in 27.3 overs.
Asif Khan topped the score with 46 runs including seven fours and one six followed by Aryan Larkra with 13 runs while Muhammad Waseem notched up 11 runs with the help of one four and one six.
Similarly, Basil Hameed scored 10 runs including one four off 27 deliveries.
