Three newly appointed ministers sworn-in

Three newly appointed federal government ministers have taken oath of office and secrecy today.

President Ram Chandra Paudel administered the oath to the newly appointed ministers Dhanraj Gurung, Mohan Basnet and Dig Bahadur Limbu this afternoon.

On Wednesday, President Paudel appointed Congress members of parliament (MPs) Dhanraj Gurung as Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Mohan Basnet as Minister for Health and Population and Dig Bahadur Limbu as Minister for Youth and Sports on the recommendation of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.

Prime Minister Dahal expanded the Cabinet for the ninth time yesterday.

In the Prachanda-led government, there are still ministerial vacancies in the Ministry of Forest and Environment and the Ministry of Water Supply.
