A meeting of the Constitutional Council (CC) has started at Singha Durbar.
The Prime Minister's Secretariat said that the meeting started a while ago at the Office of the Prime Minister.
Speaker Devraj Ghimire, opposition leader KP Sharma Oli, National Assembly Chairman Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, Deputy Speaker Indira Rana, Law Minister Dhanraj Gurung are present in the meeting.
Prime Minister Prachanda had called a CC meeting last Saturday.
The previous meeting convened to recommend the appointment of the Chief Justice ended inconclusively.
Today's meeting is expected to reach a deal on the appointment of the Chief Justice.
