Bagmati Pradesh have been out of the One Day International (ODI) Cricket tournament of the Prime Minister’s Cup after a consecutive third defeat.
Held at Mulpani Cricket Ground on Wednesday, Bagmatti became the first team to go out of the cricket tournament after they lost to Lumbini Pradesh by eight wickets.
Chasing the 155-run target, Lumbini reached it in 35.4 overs losing two wickets.
To clinch a win against Bagmati, Captain Dev Khanal topped the score with 77 not-out runs including eight fours and two sixes.
Similarly, Sandeep Rajali was out for 29 runs while Prajwal Thapa and Akash Tripathi made 29 and 3 runs, respectively.
In reply, Bagmati’s Rijan Dhakal and Pratish GC took one wicket each.
Earlier, electing to bat first after winning the toss, Bagmati were all out for 154 runs in 38.1 overs.
Bagmati’s Gynendra Malla made 33 runs followed by Durgesh Thapa with 32 runs while Ashutosh Ghiraiya contributed 22 runs.
Lumbini’s Anil Kharel took four wickets and Abishek Gautam and Bishal Bikram KC took equal two wickets.
