The distribution of ministries in the Bagmati Province has been finalized.

Seven ministries left behind by CPN (UML) and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) have been divided between Congress and CPN (Unified Socialist).

Earlier, due to their own stances, they could not complete the government, but now after the agreement between the Congress and the Unified Socialist, the Bagmati government will take a full shape within a few days.

Congress, which has claimed six ministries of the province, has agreed to take five ministries, while the Unified Socialist has almost decided to participate in the government with two ministries, said a provincial MP of the Unified Socialist.

A meeting of the ruling alliance will be held on Wednesday morning to decide when to expand the cabinet.

Earlier on April, 2023, Congress Parliamentary Party leader Bahadur Singh Lama was appointed as Finance Minister and Tirtha Bahadur Lama as Minister for Water, Energy and Irrigation.

At present, five ministries are vacant in the Bagmati Council of Ministers.

Out of these, the Congress will now get three ministries while the Unified Socialist will get two ministries.
