HoR meeting disrupted against Citizenship Bill and PM’s statement in India

CPN (UML) has disrupted the meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) against the ratification of the Citizenship Bill and Prime Minister’s statement in India.

The meeting of the HoR held on Sunday was disrupted in protest against President Ram Chandra Paudel's ratification of the Citizenship Bill and the Prime Minister's decision to exchange Nepali land with India during his visit India visit.

Speaking at the meeting, Padam Giri, UML's chief whip, warned that the parliament session would not be allowed until the government brings another Bill within a week, making the bill approved by the president inactive.

While the MPs of the UML stood up and shouted slogans, the MPs of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) and the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) stood up and supported them.
