Two killed in Kalikot jeep plunge

Two people died on the spot when the jeep parked in Kalikot backtracked and fell some 300 meters down the road.

Kalikot police said that a double cab jeep, 3 Cha 4610, which was stopped at Sera Bazaar in Raskot Municipality-2 of the district suddenly backtracked and fell some 300 meters down the road around 8:30 this morning.

District Police Office, Kalikot Police Inspector Subaraj Bam informed that 43-year-old Man Bahadur Shahi of Raskot Municipality 1 and 36-year-old Mankumari Shahi of the same place died on the spot.

Rita Shahi,30, of the same place sustained serious injuries.

According to police inspector Bam, the jeep was going from Sera Bazaar to Kalikot headquarters Manma. The accident took place when the Jeep was on neutral gear and the driver was outside, said police.
