Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Shah has placed a map of Greater Nepal in his office.
Shah kept in his office a photo with a map showing the territory of Nepal that existed prior to signing the Sugauli Treaty with the then British ruler.
According to Shah's secretariat, the map was placed a few days ago.
After India placed a picture of integrated India in the new parliament building including Nepal's territory Lumbini and Kapilvastu, it is being protested in Nepal.
Mayor Shah has placed a map of Greater Nepal when the federal government is unable to speak out the integrated map of India placed in the parliament of India that includes Nepal’s territory – Kapilvastu and Lumbini.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda had said that he had spoken to the Indian authorities about the draft placed in the Indian Parliament.
But Foreign Minister NP Saud replied that he had no information about it during an interview with Indian television Aaj Tak.
On the other hand, neighboring Bangladesh has asked the Indian government for an explanation regarding the issue of the map with its territory.
