Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has appointed member of the House of Representatives (HoR) Sushila Thing as the whip of the party.
Deuba on Thursday appointed proportional lawmaker Thing as the whip of the HoR. Originally from Sindhuli, Thing is the central working committee member of the NC.
She was appointed the whip in line with clause 13 (20) of the Parliamentary Party statute of the Nepali Congress, said Keshav Raj Joshi, the personal aide of Deuba.
Earlier, Deuba had MP Ramesh Lekhak as the chief whip of the party.
