1XBET case: Comedians and YouTubers land in police net

Eight individuals have been arrested in the case of fraud through '1XBET', which is used for betting (gambling) online in various games across the world.

Among those arrested are comedians Marichman Shrestha alias 'Balchhi Dhurbe', Pawan Khatiwada alias ‘Myakuri', Raju Paudel alias Rajumaster, Saroj Ghimire alias Dhedo Budho, Begum Nepali alias Bhatbhate Maila and YouTuber Alish Rai, YouTuber Jalan Ghartimagar 'Jalan' and Ganesh Devkota alias GD.

Only on Wednesday, the police found illegal transactions of 640 million rupees through '1XBET’.

They have been arrested by the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Baneshwar.

It has been revealed that through ‘1XBET’, which is used to gamble in various games online, artists have received 10 to 4 million rupees for promoting online betting through their tele-serials and videos.
