CPN (Unified Socialist) led by Madhav Kumar Nepal has decided to join the Samajbadi Morcha -- a new socialist front envisaged by Dr. Baburam Bhattarai.
A secretariat meeting of the CPN (Unified Socialist) held at its central party office in Aloknagar, Kathmandu took a decision to this effect.
‘A secretariat meeting of the Unified Socialist decided to join the Samajbadi Morcha today,” Jagannath Khatiwada, the deputy general secretary and the spokesperson of the party, told Nepalkhabar.
Khatiwada claimed that the Samajbadi Morcha will be announced within a few days.
Unified Socialist, CPN (Maoist Center), Janata Samajbadi Party, Nepal Communist Party led by Netra Bikram Chand and Nepal Samajbadi Party led by Dr Baburam Bhattarai have decided to participate in the new Socialist Front.
The parties including the NSP had started doing homework to form a Samajbadi Morcha by uniting the splinters of the then CPN (Maoist) three months ago.
