Chopper flying to KTM with 5 foreigners from Solukhumbu goes missing

Manang Air helicopter flying to Kathmandu with five foreigners on board from Solukhumbu has gone out of contact.

Spokesperson at the Tribhuvan International Airport Teknath Sitaula said the helicopter which was flying from Solukhumbu to Kathmandu has gone out of contact.

The helicopter was carrying five foreigners along with the pilot.

Chief District Officer of Solukhumbu Basanta Bhattarai informed Nepalkhabar that Lukla Tower was in contact with pilot till 10:13 am while the chopper was flying above Lamajura of Dudhkunda Rural Municipality. 

A video footage of the missing chopper confirms that it was in contact until 10:13 am.
