Leaders have thronged the central party office in Paris Danda to pay tribute to Sita Dahal who passed away on Wednesday morning.
The mortal remains of Sita Dahal, who breathed her last at 8:33 am in the course of treatment at Norvic Hospital, has been taken to Paris Danda for condolences.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda paid heartfelt tribute to his wife and draped a party flag over her body.
Prachanda became emotional to lose his wife who supported him in every difficulty during the decade-long Maoist insurgency.
Leaders including CPN (Unified Socialist) chairman Madhav Nepal, former Speaker Agni Sapkota, Nepali Congress leader Minendra Rijal, Netra Bikram Chand 'Biplav', Indian Entrepreneur Sardar Pritam Singh paid tribute to Sita.
The mortal remains of Sita Dahal will be kept from 11 am to 1 pm at Paris Danda and then the body will be cremated at Pashupati Aryaghat at 2 pm.
