Nepal inflicted a 3-wicket defeat on UAE A in a match of the ACC Men's Emerging Cup held at P Sara Oval, Colombo on Wednesday.
Chasing the 158-run target set by UAE A, Nepal reached it in 23 overs losing seven wickets.
Kushal Bhurtel topped the score with 71 runs including nine fours and four sixes off 43 deliveries. Similarly, Dev Khanal and Sundeep Jora contributed 24 each.
In reply, Mohammed Faraazuddin took the highest five wickets while Muhammad Jawadullah grabbed two wickerts for UAE A.
Earlier, electing to bat first after winning the toss, UAE A notched up 157 runs losing all wickets in 44 overs.
Lovepreet Singh topped the score with 52 runs including six fours and one six off 82 deliveries. Similarly, Ethan D'Souza, Ashwanth Valthapa, Aryansh Sharma and Jash Giyanani made 18, 16 and 14, 13 respectively. The batsmen could not reach the double-digit runs.
In reply, Kushal Bhurtel grabbed the highest six wickets while Mousom Dhakal and Pawan Sarraf took two and one wicket for Nepal.
