The gold of about 100 kg recovered from the Tribhuvan International Airport on Wednesday was brought to the Mint Division to weigh and check the quality of the yellow precious metal.
The gold was brought to the Mint Division under the currency management department of the Rastra Bank at Babarmahal for testing.
The revenue investigation department on Wednesday sent it to Baluwatar-based Nepal Rastra Bank for quality check and weighing after being seized.
But the NRB returned the gold to the Tribhuvan Airport Customs Office.
