Nepal have won the title of SAFF U-15 Women’s Championship by holding the home team Bangladesh to a draw.
Nepal lifted the title by drawing with Bangladesh 1-1 in a match held at the Bir Shrestha Shaheed Shipahi Mustofa Kamal Stadium in the capital city Dhaka.
Nepal, that took the lead with a 1-0 in the first half, conceded a goal in the second half.
Sushila KC of Nepal made a flying start by scoring a goal in the 14th minute.
However, the match ended in a draw 1-1 after Bangladesh scored a goal in the second half of the match. Bangladeshi player Ruma Akhtar scored a goal in the 54th minute, bring the match to a draw.
Held in a round robin format, Nepal lifted the title of the SAFF U-15 Championship by remaining atop the points tally.
Nepal scored 10 points from four matches.
