Sushil Baidya, the Chief District Officer (CDO) of Dang, whose name was linked with the Lalita Niwas alnd case, has been pulled over to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police has made him a defendant on the allegation that he was involved in land embezzlement by creating fake documents in favor of the land racketeers when he was in land revenue office in Dillibazaar.
Ministry sources have informed that the Ministry of Home Affairs pulled Silwal over to the ministry to facilitate the investigation on the land embezzlement issue.
The Ministry has placed CDO Baidya in the ministry's reserve pool, the sources have said.
The CIB has investigated the Lalita Niwas land case and submitted a report to the Public Prosecutor's office.
According to sources at the Ministry of Home Affairs, no decision has been taken regarding who will be sent as CDO to Dang.
