Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived here on Monday for the 17th Group of 20 (G20) Summit, Xinhua reported.
On the theme of "Recover Together, Recover Stronger," the G20 Summit will open on Tuesday with a focus on strengthening the global health architecture, accelerating sustainable energy transition and promoting digital transformation.
It will be followed by the 29th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Economic Leaders' Meeting in the Thai capital of Bangkok.
United States President Joe Biden is holding a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping today on the eve of Group of 20 Summit in Bali, Indonesia, which starts on Tuesday, BBC reported.
This will be the first face-to-face meeting between the top leaders of the two global powers amid increasingly strained U.S.-China relations.
It comes at a time when relations between the two superpowers have soured. Taiwan is expected to top their agenda -- Beijing claims the self-ruled island as part of its territory, Taiwan sees itself as distinct.
