India has won the title of the Asia Cup by defeating Sri Lanka by 10 wickets in the final match held in Sri Lanka on Sunday.
Chasing a paltry 50-run target set by Sri Lanka, India reached it in 6.1 overs without losing any wickets at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium, Colombo. Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill made 23 and 27 not-out runs respectively.
Earlier, electing to bat first after winning the toss, India bowled out Sri Lanka for 50 runs in 16 overs without losing any wickets.
Mohammed Siraj claimed the highest six wickets giving away 21 runs including one maiden in seven overs. Similarly, Hardik Pandya took three wickets, exerting pressure on the opponent.
Kusal Mendis made 17 runs and Dushan Hemantha contributed 13 runs while the other batsmen could not score double-digit runs for Sri Lanka.
