Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has called a meeting with all the agitating teachers who are protesting putting forth various demands.
On September 22, Deuba called the Nepal Teachers’ Federation, who had reached a six point deal with the government and the Central Committee of Relief Quota Teachers who are continuing protests, to Singha Durbar on Tuesday.
According to one of the officials of the Relief Quota Teachers’ Central Committee, they have been called to the office of the Congress Parliamentary Party on Tuesday afternoon to discuss their demands.
As the relief quota teachers continue demonstration, Deuba called a meeting with the agitating teachers to dwell on their demands and solutions.
Nepali Congress MPs in the Education and Technology Committee of the Federal Parliament have also been called for discussions.
The teachers protested against the School Education Bill that was advanced by the government. Although there was some agreement with the teachers' federation earlier, relief quota teachers, ECD and school employees are still hitting the streets.
