The hospital has started releasing the remains of the Saurya Airlines crash victims to their families following the completion of postmortem procedures.
The process of releasing the bodies began after the postmortem procedure was completed on Friday morning.
According to a police official assigned for the management of bodies, the bodies of co-pilot Sushant Katwal, Rajaram Acharya, Uddhav Puri, Ashmin Niraula and Shyam Bindukar were handed over to their respective families.
The other bodies will be released in coordination of their families, the police official said.
Eighteen people died and one sustained critical injuries when an aircraft of Saurya Airlines crashed at Tribhuvan International Airport on July 24.
