An application has been registered seeking to freeze all bank accounts of the non-resident Nepali Association (NRNA).

Alleging that there was a vote rigging in the 11th Convention of the NRNA, Rajendra Kumar Sharma-led group filed an application demanding to freeze the bank accounts. The disgruntled group has also formed a parallel working committee demanding re-election.

In the online voting held recently in Kathmandu, the election committee declared Dr. Badri KC's group as victorious.

Buddhisagar Subedi, who is in the Sharma's group, has said that KC's group had won fraudulently. "We are in the process of granting authority to the leadership of Rajendra Kumar Sharma," Subedi told Nepalkhabar.

The NRNA has accounts in 15-16 banks.

Sharma group met the chief executive officer of the banks and submitted a request to freeze the accounts.
