Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal held a bilateral meeting with Dr Vijay Chauthaiwale, in-charge of the Foreign Affairs Department of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in New Delhi on Saturday.
Mentioning on X following the meeting, Khanal, who is currently on a three-day official visit to India at the invitation of the Minister for External Affairs of India, shared that the meeting focused on issues ranging from bolstering bilateral relations to deepening party to party engagements to expanding the people-to-people ties.
"The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations, deepening party to party engagements, and expanding the people to people ties," Minister Khanal mentioned on X.
Similarly, Khanal met with Ajit Doval, the national security advisor of India, at the latter's office in Delhi on Friday. During the meeting, the Doval and Khanal discussed various matters related to mutual interest and bolstering Nepal-India relations.

Likewise, he attended a select gathering of eminent persons organized by the India Foundation in Delhi yesterday evening. Outlining Nepal's foreign policy at the event, Khanal said, "Energy, trade, infrastructure, regional connectivity, technology and tourism are the priorities of the Nepal foreign policy. It is guided by the aspirations of the Nepali people for transformation and economic growth."
Khanal, who landed at the Indira Gandhi International Airport on Friday at the invitation of External Affairs Minister of India, S Jaishankar, was received by Chargé d'Affaires at the Embassy of Nepal, India, Dr Surendra Thapa, and Shri Munu Hawahar, Additional Secretary, MEA, India.
Khanal will return to Kathmandu on Sunday.
