Mugu massacre: One relative arrested after two weeks

Police have arrested one person in connection with the murder of four people from the same family that occurred at Mundu village in Chhayanath Rara Municipality, Magu on October 25.

An accused was arrested two weeks after the incident, police have said.

The police have arrested 30-year-old Gorakh Bahadur Shahi, a resident of Chhayanath Rara Municipality in Mugu, and currently staying at Kohalpur, Banke, on the charge of being involved in the incident. Shahi is the relative of the killed members of the family, according to the police. 

Twenty-eight-year-old Sridevi Bohora, her 11-year-old son Manoj and 8-month-old Rahar, and 8-year-old daughter Apsara were gruesomely murdered on the night of October 25. Two days after the murder, their bodies were found inside the house.

The police have informed that one more person is involved in the murder of four members of the family along with Shahi.
