Two killed, one injured in jeep-motorcycle collision

Two people died and one sustained injuries when a Bolero jeep struck a motorcycle at Madi Municipality-1 Chitwan.

The deceased have been identified as Surya Adhikari, an accountant at Someshwar Secondary School, and Beg Bahadur Khatri, a teacher.

They were killed when their motorcycle, Bagmati Province 06 001 Pa 4093, was struck by a Bolero jeep, Lu 2 Cha 2508, on the bridge of Chitai Khola in Madi Municipality-1 on Saturday evening, said District Police Office, Chitwan.

Another teacher Bhawani Prasad Paudel was injured in the accident.

All three were working at Someshwar Secondary School in Madi.

Khatri, who sustained critical injuries in the collision with Belero, died during treatment at Bagauda Hospital, while Adhikari died during treatment at Bharatpur Hospital this morning.

Deceased Paudel is a resident of Madi Municipality-1 and Khatri is a resident of Sinta Rural Municipality-3, Surkhet.

Bhawani, who was injured in the accident, is undergoing treatment at Old Medical College, Bharatpur.

The Bolero jeep and its driver have been taken into custody by the Area Police Office, Madi.
