Tilicho Lake draws a horde of tourists as it turns into ice

With the mercury going down below zero degree Celsius, the Tilicho Lake in Manang district has frozen into ice.

The Tilicho Lake, which is situated at an altitude of 4,919 meters in Nisyang Rural Municipality-9, has been covered with snow, drawing a number of tourists.

This rural municipality has been witnessing snowfall for the last few days.

Located in the Annapurna region under the Himalayan range, the Tilicho Lake has a length of 4 km, width 1.2km and an average depth of 200m. It is located at the highest altitude of the world.
