With Shahab Alam’s lethal bowling and Kushal Malla’s excellent batting, Tribhuvan Army Club managed to register the second consecutive win in the Prime Minister Cup one day national cricket tournament today (Thursday).
Army Club defeated Koshi Province by 9 wickets after it reached the paltry target of 89 runs set by the latter in 9.5 overs losing 1 wicket.
Army’s openers Imran Sheikh and Santosh Karki scored 32 runs each while Kushal Malla was out for 22.
Earlier, inviting to bat first after losing the toss at the Mulpani Cricket Ground, Koshi Province was bowled out for 88 runs in 24.4 overs.
Army’s Shahab Alam took six wickets including three maidens for 14 runs in 6.4 overs to restrict Koshi to a low score.
Kushal Malla took two wickets while Sompal Kami and Bibek Yadav grabbed 1 wicket each.
On the batting side, Ankit Subedi took the highest 41 runs. He hit nine fours off 37 deliveries.
Other batters were sent to the pavilion without scoring double-digit runs.
