It was a fine weather on Tuesday afternoon. Two-year-old Sajin Bhujel was playing in a field near Katunje Bhairav Temple in Suryabinayak Municipality-5, Bhaktapur.
Originally from Manthali Municipality-7, Ramechhap, currently living in Katunje, the child suddenly fell into a 15-feet borehole while playing.
As soon as the toddler fell into the borehole, his playmates informed his parents. Then his family members frantically reported the incident to the police. A joint rescue team was deployed from Area Police Office, Katunje and Metropolitan Police Circle, Jagati.
After an hour of efforts, the police safely rescued the child trapped in the borehole at 5:50 pm on Tuesday.
"A team of police with the help of locals rescued the child safely," said Basant Pathak, the Deputy Superintendent of Police of District Police Office.
Nepal Police has posted the video of the child’s rescue on social media. It has gone viral, now.
