Industrialist Arun Chaudhary has been arrested on the charge of embezzling 10 ropanis of land of Bansbari Leather and Shoe Factory in Kathmandu.
A team of Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) arrested Chaudhary from his Lazimpat-based residence on Thursday.
Similarly, Ajit Narayan Thapa has also been arrested. He has been arrested from his Battisputali-based house, according to CIB Chief Kiran Bajracharya.
Chaudhary is the chairman of CG Holdings while Ajit Narayan is the then Chairman of then Basbari Leather and Shoe Factory.
CIB Chief Bajracharya said the anti-graft body is investigating the case after taking Chaudhary and Thapa under control.
