TIA Security Chief DIG Chand resigns

Chief of Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) Security Chief Deputy Inspector General of Police Arjun Chand has resigned from his post.

Talking to Nepalkhabar, DIG Chand said that he resigned on his own. "Due to personal reasons, I tendered my resignation. There are no other reasons," said Chand.

Chand had taken charge as the TIA security chief since April 26.

According to sources, he wanted to become the Provincial Chief of Nepal Police. He had been unhappy after he was denied the assignment.

Chand and incumbent IGP Basanta Kunwar are from the same batch.
