Canada 11 has clinched a four-wicket win against Nepal in a practice cricket match held on Sunday.
Canada, which is making preparations for the ICC World Cup League-2, played a practice match against Nepal A team. The second match between these two teams will be held on Tuesday.
Canada had previously played a three-match ODI series with Nepal's senior team.
Chasing the target of 217 runs set by Nepal A, Canada 11 reached it losing six wickets with three balls to spare. Navneet Dhaliwal topped the score with 80 runs including 10 fours and two sixes of 76 balls. Nikhil Dutta hit 62 runs while Saad Bin Zafar contributed 23 runs.
On the bowling side, Shahab Alam took two wickets for Nepal, while Rashid Khan, Basir Ahamad, Pratish GC and Sagar Dhakal grabbed one wicket each.
Earlier, invited to bat first after losing the toss at the Mulpani Cricket Ground today, Nepal A notched up 216 runs at the cost of 8 wickets in the allotted 50 overs.
Basir Ahmed scored a half century for Nepal A with an unbeaten 50 runs in 55 balls. Similarly, Rashid Khan scored 40 and Mayan Yadav added 35 runs.
For the bowling side, Captain Saad Bin Zafar took 3 wickets while Ishwarjit Sohi took two wickets for Canada 11
