Three individuals were recommended for the post of Vice Chancellor of Tribhuvan University (TU) on Sunday.
The Recommendation Committee recommended Keshar Jung Baral, Tanka Nath Dhamala, and Chitra Bahadur Budhathoki from 14 short-listed candidates, sources have said.
Earlier, on February 9, the Recommendation Committee made public a short of 14 people.
Tribhuvan University has started the process of appointing a Vice Chancellor for the first time through open competition.
TU had on January 8 announced the vacancy for the appointment of Vice Chancellor through open competition.
As many as 43 candidates had submitted their applications for the post of Vice-Chancellor. Fourteen candidates were shortlisted out of them.
Kushum Shakya, Keshar Jung Baral, Govinda Subedi, Chitra Bahadur Budhathoki, Gyanendra Prasad Paudel, Tankanath Dhamala, Tirtha Raj Khaniya, Narayan Prasad Belbase, Prakash Ghimire, Bhoj Raj Aryal, Mahendra Prasad Sharma, Ram Chandra Basnet, Shiva Lal Bhusal and Surya Thapa had been short-listed.
