Netherland has defeated Nepal by eight wickets in the final match of the tri-series under the ICC World Cup League 2 held in Kirtipur on Sunday.
Vikramjit Singh topped the score with 58 not out runs including seven fours off 92 balls followed by Sybrand Engelbrecht with 46 runs including three wickets off 75 balls while Sybrand Engelbrecht and Max O'Dowd hit 39 and 28 runs, respectivley.
In reply, Lalit Rajbanshi and Dipendra Singh Airee grabbed one wicket each for Nepal.
This is the first time Nepal faced three consecutive defeats in the home ground.
Namibia, climbed atop the points table with six points from three wins followed by Netherlands with four points from two wins and two loses. Nepal is in the third place with two points from one win and three loses.
Earlier, invited to bat first after losing the toss at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Sunday, Nepal notched up 172 runs losing all the wickets in 49.3 overs.
Kushal Bhurtel topped the score with 66 runs including eight fours off 93 balls followed by Karan KC with 26 runs including one four and two sixes off 27 balls while Aarif Sheikh, Aasif Sheikh and Rohit Paudel grabbed 22, 17 and 16 runs, respectively.
On the bowling side, Vivian Kingma and Aryan Dutt grabbed three wickets each giving away 39 and 26 runs, respectively while Bas de Leede and Roelof van der Merwe claimed two and one wicket respectively.
