CAN hikes salary of players; six including Rohit to receive Rs 100,000 per month

The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), the official governing body of cricket in Nepal, has increased the salary of cricket players today.

With the new increment in salary, those who are categorized as Grade A will receive Rs 100,000 per month.

Similarly, the CAN has decided to provide monthly salary of Rs 70 thousand to Grade B, 55 thousand to Grade C, 35 thousand to Grade D and 25 thousand to those players categorized as Emerging Category.

The CAN on Sunday made public a new list of 30 cricketers’ ranking.

Players and their new rankings
Grade A - Rohit Paudel, Sompal Kami, Karan KC, Dipendra Singh Airee, Aasif Sheikh and Kushal Bhurtel

Grade B - Kushal Malla, Gulshan Jha, Bhim Sarki, Lalit N. Rajbanshi, Aarif Sheikh and Abinash Bohara

Grade C - Binod Bhandari, Arjun Saud, Sandeep Jora and Pratis GC

Grade D - Pawan Sarraf, Sagar Dhakal, Anil Sah, Bibek Kumar Yadav, Aakash Chand, Basir Ahmed and Surya Tamang

Emerging Category - Dipesh Kandel (Koshi), Rupesh Singh (Madhesh), Rijan Dhakal (Bagmati), Bipin Khatri (Gandaki), Dev Khanal (Lumbini), Arjun Gharti (Karnali) and Hemanta Dhami (Sudurpaschim).
