NVA Women’s Volleyball C’ship: Nepal Police Club enters final

Defending champion Nepal Police Club has entered the final of the 8th RBB-NVA Women’s Volleyball Championship by defeating APF Club.

Nepal Police Club inched closer to the title by beating APF club by 3-1 sets in the match held at the covered hall of the National Sports Council in Tripureshwar on Thursday.

Police Club won first, second and fourth sets (27-25, 25-22 and 25-17), and lost the third set (28-30). Similarly, APF Club that won the third set could not advance into the final after it suffered a defeat against Nepal Police Club in the fourth set.

In the second semifinal match to be held under the women’s category, Chandragiri New Diamond Volleyball Club will take on Everest Volleyball today.

Similarly, two quarterfinal matches under men’s category are taking place today.

As scheduled, Koshi Province and Nepal Police Club will lock their horns in the first quarterfinal. Likewise, Tribhuvan Army Club will take on Sudurpaschim Province in the final quarter-final.

The winner will bag a cash prize of Rs 500,000, the first-runner up will receive Rs 200,000 while the second runner-up will be awarded with a cash prize of Rs 125,000, the organizer has said.
