13 Nepali nationals stranded in Thailand return home

Thirteen Nepali nationals stranded in an area bordering Thailand and Myanmar have been rescued and brought to Nepal.

According to a press note issued by the Embassy of Nepal in Thailand, 13 Nepali citizens stranded in Myawaddy – a border point between Thailand and Myanmar for a long time were rescued and repatriated to Nepal.

Nepali Embassy in Bangkok in a press note said on Friday it rescued the stranded Nepalis with the help of the Immigration Bureau and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand.  

They were brought to Mae Sot from Myawaddy on Friday and airlifted to Bangkok. Then, they were repatriated to Nepal from Bangkok by a flight of Nepal Airlines, the Nepali Embassy said.
