3 kids go missing in Sunkoshi, 4 rescued

Three children who went swimming in the Sunkoshi River after celebrating Holi in Udayapur have gone missing.

Three children from Triyuga Municipality-14 of Udayapur went missing in the Sunkosi River on Sunday.

According to Ramesh Thapa, Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Udayapur, 8-year-old Cholak Chandra Magar, 7-year-old Ridam Magar and 11-year-old Rekha Magar from Saune have gone missing.

Superintendent of Police Thapa said they went swimming at Dhaplanghat in Saune after celebrating Holi and drowned.

According to the police, the other four children who went swimming with them were rescued from Sunkosi by locals.

SP Thapa informed that the search for the missing children is underway.
