Five Bangladeshi nat'ls arrested in Kathmandu

Police have arrested five Bangladeshi nationals for staying illegally in Nepal.

The police made them public in a press conference organized in Kathmandu today after arrest.

The arrested are Rifat Mohammad, 26, Mohammad Abdullah, 23, Samuyal Hoda, 45, Abdullah Bishwas, 30, and Masum Miya, 36, of Dhaka, currently staying at Sohrakhutte, informed Superintendent of Police (SP) Nakul Pokharel, the information officer of the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation of Office.

Acting on a tip-off that they were staying illegally in the Kathmandu Valley and involving in suspicious activities even after expiry of their visas, the police arrested them from Sohrakhutte, said SP Pokharel.

Bishwas and Miya among those arrested were taken under control on March 22 and the other three were apprehended on Monday.

The arrested have been sent to the Department of Immigration in Kalikasthan for necessary actions, said Pokharel.
