Foreign trekker dies in Langtang region

A foreign tourist has died while trekking in Langtang in Rasuwa district.

The deceased has been identified as 67-year British citizen Michael Paul Carter.

He was found unconscious near a belly bridge of the Langtang rivulet while he was heading toward Syaprubensi along with his two sons and a tourist guide.

Carter, who was airlifted to Kathmandu and admitted to Mediciti Hospital, was pronounced dead by doctors on Friday evening, informed Police Inspector Netra Prasad Paudel, the information officer of District Police Office, Rasuwa.
