Nepal defeated Qatar by 32 runs in the second match of the ACC Men's Premier Cup.
Chasing a 211-run target set by Nepal at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground in Oman on Saturday, Qatar was restricted to 178 runs at the loss of nine wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Captain Muhammad Tanvir scored 63 runs in 33 balls with four fours and six sixes. Mohammad Ahnaf (23), Himanshu Rathore (22), Adnan Mirza (19), and Qamaran Khan (18) were the top contributors. Remaining batsmen of Qatar could not score significant runs.
In reply, Nepali cricketers, Lalit Rajbanshi, Dipendra Singh Airee, and Gulshan Jha, took two wickets each while Kushal Malla and Avinash Bohora took one wicket each. Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Nepal scored 210 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs.
Airee smashed record six consecutive sixes in a single over which helped Nepal post a mammoth target for Qatar.
Dipendra Singh Airee was declared the Player of The Match.
