With captain Rohit Paudel's impressive century-run haul, Nepal defeated West Indies by four wickets in a T20I cricket match held in Kirtipur on Saturday.
Chasing the 205-run target set by West Indies, Nepal reached it in 19.4 overs losing six wickets. Captain Paudel topped the score with 112 runs including 10 fours and six sixes off 54 balls followed by Dipendra Singh Airee with 24 runs while Kushal Bhurtel and Kushal Malla contributed 16 runs each. The other batsmen could not achieve significant runs.
On the bowling side, Matthew Forde and Obed McCoy grabbed two wickets each while Keemo Paul claimed one wicket for West Indies.
Earlier, invited to bat first after losing the toss, West Indies notched up 204 runs. Captain Roston Chase made the highest score with 74 runs followed by Alick Athanaze with 47 runs while Keacy Carty contributed 38 runs. The other batsmen could not achieve significant runs.
In reply, Kamal Airee, Dipendra Singh Airee, Rohit Paudel and Abinash Bohara took one wicket each for Nepal.
