Brazilian football legend Pele is receiving palliative care after chemotherapy treatment stopped working on him as he battles colon cancer, media reports said on Saturday.
Brazilian daily newspaper Folha de S.Paulo reported on Saturday that chemotherapy treatment on Pele has been suspended and he now is being treated only for symptoms such as pain and shortness of breathe only.
The football legend was admitted to hospital on Tuesday to re-evaluate his cancer treatment and later diagnosed with a respiratory infection, Reuters reported citing medical reports.
