Karnali CM expands cabinet; 5 ministers take oath

Chief Minister Yam Lal Kandel has expanded the Karnali province government. Karnali Province Chief Tilak Pariyar expanded the provincial cabinet on the recommendation of Chief Minister Kandel.

According to Office of the Province Chief, CPN (Maoist Center)'s Mahendra KC, Bir Bahadur Shahi, Durga Bahadur Rawat and Ran Singh Pariyar have been appointed as Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning, Minister for Social Development, Minister for Industry, Tourism , Forest and Environment and Minister for Water Resources and Energy Development respectively.

Similarly, CPN (UML)'s Sher Bahadur Budha has been inducted in the cabinet as the Minister for Physical Infrastructures, Binod Kumar Shah as Minister for Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperative.

Gamata BK has been appointed as Minister of State for Physical Infrastructures and Urban Development. However, CM Kandel has kept the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law with himself.

Newly appointed all ministers except Binod Kumar Shah have taken the oath of office and secrecy today itself. Province Chief Tilak Pariyar administered the oath to the newly elected ministers amidst a ceremony.


Sudurpaschim cabinet expanded
Tika Thapa has been appointed as the Minister of Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives of Sudurpaschim province.

 Chief of the Province Najir Miyan appointed Thapa to the post of Minister on the recommendation of the Chief Minister of Sudurpaschim Province, Dirgha Bahadur Sodari. Thapa is a provincial assembly member in Sudurpaschim representing the Nagarik Unmukti Party.

Newly appointed Minister Thapa took the oath of office and secrecy before the Chief of the Province at a function held at the Office of the Chief of the Province in Dhangadhi.

Prior to this, Kailash Chaudhary of the same party was appointed as the Minister of Physical Infrastructure Development.
