T20 Series: Nepal suffers 28-run defeat at the hands of West Indies

West Indies has defeated Nepal by 28 runs in the fourth match of the T20 series held in Kirtipur on Wednesday.

West Indies bowled out Nepal for 181 runs while the latter was chasing the 210-run target.

This is the third consecutive defeat Nepal faced at the hands of West Indies. Out of five matches under the T20 series, Nepal defeated West Indies in the first match by four wickets and lost second, third and fourth match to the opponent.

To restrict Nepal from reaching the target, Hayden Walsh and Matthew Forde took three wickets each giving away 26 and 25 runs, respectively while Gudakesh Motie and Fabian Allen grabbed two wickets each for Nepal.

Chasing the target, Captain Rohit Paudel made the highest 82 runs followed by Sundeep Jora, Dipendra Singh Airee and Gulsan Jha hit 19 runs each while Abinash Bohara contributed 17 runs.

Earlier, electing to bat first after winning the toss, West Indies notched up 209 runs losing three wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Andre Fletcher topped the score with 84 not out runs including nine fours and four sixes off 54 balls followed by Johnson Charles with 58 runs including three fours and sixes off 30 deliveries while Fabian Allen contributed 33 runs. The other batsmen could not score double-digit runs.

On the bowling side Kushal Bhurtel grabbed two wickets while Pratis GC took one wicket for Nepal.
